At the start of another cruel, cruel summer there was the Chibuku end of term party...  With Fake Blood, Boy 8-Bit, Bowski in the Theatre; Benga, Artwork, Rich Furness, MC Madrush in the Loft; and CantMixWontMix in the bar all night long!

We've got a digital delight for you from Standon Calling 2010... we've taken taken the audio from the videos we shot and, combining it with the live recording of the set we've recreated the audience participatory sections that otherwise would feel empty (Kids in America and the finale) with a couple of Mixnot interactions thrown in there for good measure.

We think it's pretty funking special. It's not often you can finish a DJ set with the audience singing

Mixnot & prosper x

A rollercoaster of emotions - with volcanic ash, venue fires, and lineup changes in the lead up to this, the first Chibuku gig and a triple birthday celebration for the Mixnots - resulted in this excitable rabble providing an hour of smash-power to kick off the nights proceedings with a spin-back filled, funk-fuelled rip roaring fun-fest of a show. Needless to say it's 'a bit live'.

The recording quality is unfortunately not up to standard but if you can tune out the strange alien underwater sounds that persist over some tracks, then join in on our fun as we rock Chibuku, the biggest and best club night in Liverpool, as it hos.

So you've battled the blizzards and endured what seems like an eternity of darkness. Winter draws to a close and as a communal sigh of relief sweeps this grotty nation we begin to look forward to those cut-grass smells, barbecues, beer gardens and beaches. In order to celebrate this seasonal upturn we at Mixnot HQ have cobbled together a particularly hedonistic DJ set filled to the brim with good vibes and sunny nuggets of fun.

Keep your peepers out for our upcoming gigs and festival slots, there are some pearlers around the corner and we are very excited about what this year's festival season has in store. In stark contrast to the surreally sweet Sunday soundscapes from our initial pod So Parr, So Good Vol.1 we bring you a live recording from the lavishly lush landscapes of the Lake of Stars - Malawi music festival back in October 2009.
